Static is something that does not move, lacking in movement, action, or change, especially in an undesirable or uninteresting way. Looking at our movements when inhabiting our internal and external spaces, Static explores the use of choreographic objects with a lack of movement, focusing on the role the object plays when its movement is limited. Utilizing audio in the space to verbally direct movements such as 'one step forward, three steps backward,' the artist deliberately evokes a sense of movement amidst static choreographic objects.
